  • We are delighted that the Rt Revd Rachel Treweek, the Lord Bishop of Gloucester, has agreed to be our Honorary Patron. Bishop Rachel was appointed Anglican Bishop for HM Prisons in England and Wales in 2020 and, as well as raising criminal justice issues in the House of Lords, is patron to a number of prison related charities including Langley House Trust, Prison Fellowship and Nelson Trust.   • Clare performs at 24 schools across Gloucestershire in April - July 2026, reaching over 3,500 children. We are grateful to SJP Wealth Management for supporting this series.

  • Over Spring 2026, Clare performs at 12 prisons. Her programme features works from our co-creation project at HMP Oakwood and HMP Featherstone. This was run for the first time last year by Clare and composer Michael Betteridge, with the aim of co-creating pieces for solo piano with prisoners. Clare performs these in public recitals in the 2025/26 concert season. The GPT is supporting this work alongside Arts Council England, the Marchus Trust and Leigh Day Solicitors. Read more here.

  • Our prison projects have been featured on BBC Radio 4's PM, in the Big Issue, the Autumn 2025 edition of Classical Music Magazine, and on the Thoroughly Good podcast.

  • We are coming to the end of the first year of a mentorship scheme for school-aged aspiring professional pianists. Read more here.

  • Since our initial fundraising concert in July 2024, pianist Clare Hammond has performed to over 5,900 school children at 38 schools, and 520 prisoners at 13 prisons.
